Chirripó Earth was born from a lifelong relationship with nature, land, and listening.

From an early age, Thomas Michael was drawn into forests, mountains, and wild places, where nature was not something to visit, but something to commune with and learn from. Over time, and through his own experiences of conditioning, loss, and healing, that early connection deepened into a conscious spiritual path.

​

In 2012, he stepped away from mainstream life and into the mountains to devote himself fully to direct relationship with the Earth. A profound awakening began years of training and initiation with elder guardians, Indigenous lineages, and spiritual teachers across traditions. These experiences restored an embodied ability to relate with the elements, sacred sites, and the living intelligence of the land.

A later near death experience further clarified this path, reconnecting ancestral wisdom and a deep sense of responsibility to the Earth. After completing years of land based work and initiations, Thomas was guided back to Costa Rica, where Chirripó revealed itself not only as a sacred mountain, but as a calling.

Chirripó Earth exists as a living service to this land.

Our mission is to offer safe, grounded, and reverent access to Chirripó as a living temple and teacher. Through guided hikes, ceremonies, education, and immersive experiences, we support people in remembering how to walk in right relationship with the Earth, with themselves, and with life as a whole.

Every journey is guided with care, integrity, and reciprocity, honoring the mountain not as a destination to consume, but as a sacred relationship to be entered, respected, and carried forward.
